I've stayed at Rodon Hotel from 28-30 / 12. We checked in, and they sent us to the ground floor (room 031). The room was okay, big, and the shower was fine. The problems started when the noon came and the heating started working. The room was hot in the sense that you could not breathe properly. We tried to adjust the heating level, but it was not working. At around 21:30, I called at the reception to inform about the problem, and she said that they would inform the technician to fix it fast as at 10:45 he was going to leave. After 1 hour, nothing changed, and I called again. At this time, they sent a technician, and when he checked, he told us that something had loosened and used a screwdriver to fix it. He told us to give it 5-10 minutes to completely get fixed. Hours passed, and we understood that nothing was fixed. Our sweat was running down to the bed. We couldn't sleep. I checked the temperature of the room, and it was 35°. We tried to sleep, but we could barely breathe from the unbearable heat. At around 1:00, I stood up to a pillow completely wet from my sweat and opened the balcony door. Imagine being on the ground floor and having to open the balcony door to sleep. We slept for 2-3 hours maximum, and the next day was ruined. We could barely walk due to the tiredness. At around 10:00 I went to the reception to inform them about the heating NOT getting fixed. When I told the woman there that the heating had a problem and we couldn't sleep, he answered with a haughty style: "Didn't you open the balcony door?" At this point, I PAID FOR A ROOM SO I CAN SLEEP AND RELAX. AM I OBLIGATED TO OPEN MY BALCONY DOOR WHEN ALMOST JANUARY SO I CAN SLEEP LIKE A HUMAN BEING AND WITH THE RISK AND DANGER THAT ANYONE MAY VIOLATE MY ROOM AS I AM AT THE GROUND FLOOR? Is this what I paid for? After that, she told us that she was going to send the technician again to fix it. When no technician was sent, I went at around 5 o'clock and informed that no one came, and a different receptionist this time told us to change rooms. Our whole day was ruined as we were unbelievably tired. When you pay for something that you are not offered, and when you pay to relax and end up more tired than before, it's devastating. Very disappointing experience, really
Rooms weren't clean. Need a bit more care.
Location was good and service was fine. Our door had an issue before check out and they fixed it fast.
The hotel is old, but maintained in very good condition. Great location. 2 swimming pools, gym and more. Great location and calm atmosphere. This is truly a vacation in the mountains. We didn't like too much the breakfast, but I wouldn't say it was bad. I didn't like the beds near the pool. They either need to be washed well or replaced.
Good and clean hotel. It was renovated few years ago but it needs some changes too, like the beds and the pillows are not so comfortable. The village is very beautiful.
What a wonderfully hidden hotel. Amenities were great. Great veriety during dinner. Breakfast was good, too. Would love to stay there during the summer.
Staff are super helpful.
worst hotel ever . full of kids that they are running around, knocking on all the doors, blasting loud music and screaming all night long. they don't care about the relaxing
The housekeeping and kitchen need improvements... stuff from previous stayer was left in the room and food wasn't fresh.
But anything is worth for the location and a breath of fresh air in the hot summer.
Nice hotel, excellent service, good location, superb breakfast and buffet, recommended.
